Serving Serenbe Since 2020

To our dedicated Serenbe neighbors and guests: Thank you for practicing with us!

Our Story

Jill Campbell and Dr. Julie Lord, D.C., opened Studio13 in May of 2020 as a provider-recommended wellness modality for clients of all abilities. Met by our wildly supportive and active Serenbe community, Studio13 quickly grew to capacity, with six Reformers in-studio. Dr. Lord transitioned to sole owner in 2026 and remains consciously committed to the boutique experience that only our small studio environment can provide.

Dr. Julie Lord, B.S., D.C.

Owner, Cofounder and Lead Instructor
Licensed and Board-Certified Chiropractor

Dr. Julie Lord, D.C., brings a holistic perspective and decades of experience as a licensed and board-certified Chiropractor to her Pilates practice and instruction. Students feel safe and supported with Dr. Lord because she is able to recognize physical injury and identify safe methods to support the body’s innate capacity to heal.

Dr. Lord and her family loved Serenbe the first time they drove into town. After visiting weekend after weekend, she told her husband she wanted to sell their home and move here. And that is exactly what they did!

For Dr. Lord, there’s something special in the water at Serenbe. When her family moved here, she became pregnant at age 44 (Her son Koby was 12 years old). Her daughter, Skyler, has been one of many blessings to come into her family’s life at Serenbe.

In addition to her chiropractic work, Dr. Lord has taught Pilates to clients in their homes, and later at Serenbe Yoga. In November 2019, on Dr. Lord’s 49th birthday, she wrote an intention on a piece of paper: to run a Pilates Reformer studio. When future collaborator Jill Campbell called to discuss this very thing, she knew immediately that her birthday wish was coming true.

Jill Campbell

Cofounder

As a longtime executive at Cox Enterprises, Jill Campbell often wondered how she would spend her retirement years. The moment she and her family arrived in Serenbe for their first visit, she felt an amazing sense of place.

Jill knew she was home, from the laid-back feel, to the horses in the pastures, to the hiking trails, cute storefronts and friendly people. In classic Jill fashion, she went “all in!” She and her husband, George, bought a lot to build their retirement home.

Jill wanted to be a part of the Serenbe community and contribute to the wellness vibe already happening here. She found our studio location in the Mado neighborhood around the same time she met a kindred spirit and her future partner in Studio13, Dr. Julie Lord, D.C.

Jill and Dr. Lord named the studio using their favorite numbers: Jill was adopted on Friday the 13th, and Dr. Lord’s favorite number is 4 (1+3—meant to be). Jill continues to practice at Studio13 when she’s home in Serenbe.
